Our commercial property team is able to assist at every level, providing comprehensive advice on property and land acquisitions and disposals, development and portfolio management.

We regularly advise both landlords and tenants on leasehold issues for commercial and industrial premises, which include office blocks, industrial units and retail units.
One of the critical factors for property investment clients is the relationship between landlord and tenant. We are experienced in all aspects of this area – our specialists deal not only with issues arising during lease negotiations but also those that occur during the currency and termination of leases.

Our philosophy is to pay attention to all property management related issues to ensure asset value is not eroded. This philosophy is shared by members of our property dispute resolution team who provide support when disputes arise but also strive to prevent them happening unnecessarily.

We regularly advise prospective tenants both on new leases and the assignment of existing leases; and on the impact of the Landlord and Tenant Act legislation and repairing obligations.

House Builders and Property Development

Meadows Ryan’s property department has vast experience in all aspects of property development.

We act for house builders, who range from entrepreneurs to household names. We pride ourselves on the close working relationships with our developer clients and some of these relationships extend over several decades. The Development Department, led by Peter Meadows (Senior Partner of Meadows Ryan) advises on site acquisitions, conditional contracts and plot sales. The team guides our clients through negotiation of overage payments, “subject to planning” contracts, release/protection from restrictive covenants and the setting up of estates. In many cases, developer clients are dealing with land on Private Estates.
