Charles joined the firm in September 2019 with over 25 years’ experience and was formerly a partner with 2 substantial London firms. He has wide experience of civil and commercial dispute resolution including commercial and residential landlord and tenant; possession proceedings against squatters; adverse possession claims; boundary disputes and nuisance claims. His commercial experience includes breach of warranty; breach of confidence; debt claims and online fraud. He has acted for clients in negligence claims against solicitors and architects. He is used to enforcing judgments by a variety of means including execution; charging orders; third party debt orders; and oral examination. His recent experience includes contested estates. He has dealt with many international matters, including the enforcement of foreign judgments in the UK and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He adopts a commercial approach to problems and is skilled in the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution, having settled numerous cases by negotiation and at mediation. Charles has a wide range of sporting interests and is a keen tennis player and horse rider.
