Child related matters
Clare McNeill has 20 years post qualification experience in family and matrimonial law. Although the majority of her experience has been obtained with private law firms dealing with matrimonial and children matters, including public care proceedings and high net worth divorce matters, Clare has also worked for The Football Association in Soho, later in Wembley Stadium where she dealt with a large number of child protection matters. Clare has also worked for the Official Solicitor in Kingsway, London where she dealt with a large number of Court of Protection matters and she also represented clients who lacked capacity to act in proceedings and therefore needed to obtain representation under the umbrella of the Official Solicitor to ensure a lack of bias and to ensure fairness in litigious children public and private cases and other private family law matters. Whilst at the Official Solicitors office Clare was also involved in pre/post Brexit issues that would occur once the UK left the EU and the impact this would have upon family matters in the legal arena. Clare deals with the entire range of divorce matters and has represented a number of high-profile premier league footballers and a number of TV and film celebrities in high net worth contested divorce and children act proceedings. Clare has dealt with a number of both divorce and children cases that have an international element and she has appeared in person in the High Court in urgent child abduction matters to secure immediate injunctive relief. Clare has dealt with trust of land matters where contested proceedings have arisen due to disputes between cohabitees Clare has often undertaken advocacy herself at all levels of family law matters including and up to fully contested final hearings and indeed is often asked by the clients to present their cases in preference to the instruction of Counsel.
